FAQ
Physical therapy helps restore movement, strength, and function after injury, surgery,
or illness. It focuses on reducing pain, improving mobility, and preventing future
problems through personalized exercises, hands-on techniques, and education.
In most cases, no referral is needed to begin physical therapy (Direct Access).
However, some insurance plans may require one — we can help you check your
coverage before your first visit.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation — we’ll review your medical
history, assess movement, strength, posture, and pain levels, and design a
customized treatment plan tailored to your goals.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy movement. For example,
shorts for knee treatments or tank tops for shoulder therapy.
Most sessions last 45–60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan and condition.
We use a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, balance and gait
training, postural correction, electrotherapy, laser therapy, shockwave therapy
and specialized techniques like Mulligan Concept, McKenzie Method, and Biodex
Balance training.
Every patient is different. Some improve in just a few visits, while others may need
several weeks of consistent therapy — your plan will be customized based on your
condition and progress.
Therapy should not be painful. You may feel some temporary soreness as your body adapts, but your therapist will ensure all exercises and techniques are
performed safely and comfortably.
