Dr. Jacob Kurian

PT, MS, DPT, CMP

Dr. Kurian graduated with his Bachelor’s of Physiotherapy at one of India’s top three universities, Saveetha University. Pursuing his passion, he went on to specialize in orthopedics and sports physical therapy by acquiring his Master’s of Science Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University. As the profession progressed, Dr. Kurian has increased his depth of knowledge by attaining his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at University of Montana and continues to stay afloat with the current trends and changes that arise in the profession of physical therapy. He is now the founder and director of Enhanced Physical Therapy in Mineola, New York. ​ Though he specialized in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, Dr. Kurian takes a comprehensive approach to each patient’s entire well-being. Dr. Jacob Kurian has been practicing Physical Therapy in New York since 2004. In addition to conventional forms of therapy, he is well versed in and uses a variety of different techniques including Cyriax, Maitland, Kaltenborn, McKenzie. He utilizes an integrated manual therapy approach reinforced by functional exercise patterns. Being a Certified Mulligan Practitioner, Dr. Kurian uses advanced mobilization techniques such as mobilization with movement (Mulligan Technique). He also uses Myofascial release techniques when warranted. He has well over 15 years of clinical experience and post-academic training in assessment and treatment of pain and disorders associated with the spine and extremities. Strength and flexibility deficits are identified, and addressed by means of treatment with emphasis on reducing potential vulnerability and future musculoskeletal breakdown.

Steven Veroxie

PTA

Steven Veroxie is a licensed physical therapist assistant. He graduated from Touro College in 2004, where he received Touro College’s Outstanding Clinical Achievement Award. Dr. Veroxie has worked alongside Dr. Kurian since 2007. He has over 9 years of experience treating orthopedic and sports injuries, and has enhanced his practice by persistently taking additional courses in Mulligan and Myofasical Release.

dr. Shraddha Tomar

PT, MS

Shraddha graduated from Manipal University, India with her Bachelor of Physical Therapy. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from the Adelphi University, Garden City, New York. Shraddha’s passion for learning and expanding her skills as a physical therapist have led her to participate in many continuing education courses and physical therapy residency/internships. Physical Therapist committed to helping patients manage pain and injuries with knowledge of sports injuries, manual therapy and athletic exercise prescription. Skilled in monitoring results and prescribing exercises for immediate post-surgical patients in long-term health. Proficient in collaborating with practitioners and adhering to treatment instructions. (NY state PT license expected: May 2022)

dr. melanie hoffer

Dr. Melanie Hoffer earned her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, graduating in 2014. She has been a licensed physical therapist since 2014, with extensive experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and functional movement training. With a strong background in CrossFit, Functional Bodybuilding, Health & Wellness. Dr. Melanie Hoffer integrates strength and conditioning principles into her treatment approach to help patients move better, build resilience, and return safely to high-level activity. Outside the clinic, she enjoys working out and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Rudy Outar

PT, DPT

Doctor Outar received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Sciences and a minor in Anthropology in August of 2018. His experience is primarily in the outpatient orthopedic setting, working with all age groups. He has great experience in the field of post-surgical care including but not limited to spinal fusions/ laminectomies, rotator cuff repairs, labral, meniscal, ligamentous repairs of the shoulder, hip, and knee, as well as joint replacements of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He has been a licensed Practitioner in the state of New York since 2018. Dr. Outar also enjoys treating every day conditions such as chronic osteoarthritis, low back and neck pain, spinal stenosis, as well as general conditions including osteoarthritis. Currently Dr Outar is going through the certification process to be Certified as a Mckenzie Specialist as well as a certified Mulligan Practitioner. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and football to keep himself active.
