Mulligan Compression and Taping in Mineola, NY
MULLIGAN CONCEPT
Compression and Taping
Mulligan taping uses firm tape to hold the same corrective glide that eased your pain during treatment, so the benefit carries into walking, work and sport. Compression supports sore joints and tissues. At Enhanced Physical Therapy in Mineola, we use taping and compression for the knee, foot, hand, back and lower leg.

Certified Mulligan Practitioner Over 10 Years of Experience
Our clinics director is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP) with over a decade
of experience using this evidence-based approach. Each treatment is customized to
your specific diagnosis and movement limitations to achieve optimal outcomes.
How it works
- We find a glide that makes your movement easier and pain-free.
- Dr. Kurian applies tape that holds the joint in that position.
- You test the movement with the tape on.
- We teach you how long to keep it on and how to remove it.
- Compression wraps or sleeves may be added for swelling or support.
What it feels like

What the research says
A randomized trial (Teys 2013) found shoulder MWM plus Mulligan taping kept improvements better than MWM alone. Mulligan fibular tape has been studied in ankle sprains, and Mulligan taping has been studied in kneecap pain, plantar heel pain and bunion pain, mostly with short-term benefits.
