Mulligan
Technique
Hands-On Therapy for Lasting Relief
The Mulligan Concept is a gentle, manual therapy approach that combines joint mobilization with active movement. This technique helps restore normal motion, reduce pain, and improve function — all in a pain-free, natural way.

Certified Mulligan Practitioner Over 10 Years of Experience
Our clinics director is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP) with over a decade
of experience using this evidence-based approach. Each treatment is customized to
your specific diagnosis and movement limitations to achieve optimal outcomes.

How It Works
Mobilize, Move, and Restore
During a Mulligan session, your therapist applies a precise, pain-free glide to a restricted joint while you actively move through a specific range of motion. This unique “mobilization with movement” re-trains the joint’s natural mechanics, helping improve alignment, mobility, and muscle control — often with immediate relief.

What the research says
Brian Mulligan's published reference list includes more than 400 studies, among them 49 systematic reviews and 190 randomized trials. The strongest results are in headaches from the neck, neck related dizziness, tennis elbow, knee and hip arthritis, ankle sprains, shoulder pain, sciatica and low back pain. Most benefits are short term and come when Mulligan techniques are added to exercise, and some trials were run by Mulligan teachers, so we describe the research honestly and never promise a specific result.
Safety
- We screen everyone before hands-on treatment.
- We don't treat over a suspected fracture, infection or cancer, or where the neck may be unstable.
- We use lighter pressure with osteoporosis, blood thinners, inflammatory arthritis flares, pregnancy and recent surgery.
- If a technique is not pain-free, we stop.
Frequently asked questions
Is Mulligan therapy the same as chiropractic?
No. Mulligan techniques are slow, sustained glides while you move, with no thrust or cracking.
What is a Certified Mulligan Practitioner?
A therapist who has completed advanced Mulligan Concept training and passed the practical certification exam.
Does Mulligan therapy hurt?
It should not. Pain-free movement is a core rule of the approach.
How many visits will I need?
